Trace Archaeology is the heritage team of Trace Enterprises, based in Osborne Park, Perth. Our archaeologists and anthropologists have worked across Western Australia and the Northern Territory since 2018, on both Aboriginal and historic heritage.

We work with two groups of clients and take both equally seriously. For Aboriginal Corporations, Traditional Owners and Native Title Holders, we provide independent heritage expertise: surveys, management of cultural heritage information, and making sure what matters to the community is identified, recorded and protected. For developers, miners, explorers, infrastructure builders, local governments and agencies, we deliver the heritage surveys, assessments and management plans needed under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972 and the Heritage Act 2018.

Our work runs from desktop assessments and heritage surveys to section 18 notices, ethnographic studies, heritage impact statements and cultural heritage management plans, for projects from a residential lot in Perth to exploration in the Pilbara or infrastructure in the Northern Territory.

Environmental and planning specialists work in the same office. When a project also needs flora and fauna surveys or a planning approval, Trace Ecology and Trace Planning can be brought in from the start, with one point of contact for the whole job.
